AMC is the Asset Management Company which is appointed as the Investment Manager by the trust or sponsor. It is registered under the Companies Act of 1956. As a company it is responsible to carry all the functions to manage the assets of the trust.

1. Day to day operations of the mutual funds handling is handled by AMC.
2. He arranges everything from engaging employees and infrastructure to sales promotion and advertising with regulators and various service providers.
   1. AMC should have adequate professional knowledge and experience.
   2. The directors and working staff should not be guilty of moral turpitude or convicted.
   3. 50% directors should be independent
